About Cadence Psychology: Sydney Change Specialists
The Cadence Psychology Approach
Music and psychology have a lot in common. Just like an annoying tune buzzing around your head, we can get stuck on thoughts and habits that stop us from moving towards the life we want to live.
A “cadence” refers to the final notes of a song that give it a sense of resolution. We founded Cadence Psychology to offer a unique space where normal folks could drop the stigma of mental illness and move towards finding resolution in their own life.
Dr Clinton Moore
Clinton is the Principal Psychologist and founder of Cadence Psychology. He has worked as a Clinical Psychologist since 2007 across fields including public health, tertiary education and private practice.
He completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology/Master of Science at the University of Sydney and has since honed his skills in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.
Clinton focuses on transforming clients’ lives by cultivating flexible thinking in a friendly and non-clinical manner. By helping them to see and act on the choices available, Clinton helps clients move towards the things that give their lives meaning.
Having had a long history working in tertiary education as a Senior Psychologist, Clinton has an extensive knowledge of the pressures faced daily by professionals and students. This has created a passion for helping people get past the unhelpful habits that can limit their potential such as procrastination, anxiety, perfectionism, low mood, and low self-esteem.
Clinton is fully registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA (Registration number: PSY0001347316) and is eligible to provide specialist psychological services under Medicare.
Clinton is a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor who provides supervision to clinical psychology registrars, and registrar psychologists under the higher degree program, 5+1 internship, and 4+2 internship.
