We provide Skype/Zoom sessions for clients that don’t have a psychologist in their area, or who just really want to work with Cadence Psychology.
Check with your GP about getting a rebate under Medicare, as this is an options for clients who live in remote sections of NSW as listed under the Modified Monash Model.
Medicare rebates of $128.40 per session are now available for telehealth therapy sessions until September 2020 in response to COVID-19.
Can't Make It?
Should something pop up for you, we will always try to do our best and find you a new session time. But it’s important to know that if you cancel a session within 48 hours of your booking, we do charge a cancellation fee.
We ask this so that we have sufficient time to offer cancelled appointments to others who may be waiting to be seen by our psychologists and in need of care.
First Time Seeing a Psychologist In North Sydney?
When you first contact us to make a booking we’ll find you an appointment and schedule in a time for an initial chat over the phone to determine your needs. We’ll also send out a Welcome Pack with everything you need to bring to the first session with your psychologist.
At your first face-to-face session (50 minutes) your psychologist will invite you into the room and conduct and initial assessment where the two of you can create a shared understanding of whatever you’re stuck on at present. From there the two of you will determine a pathway forward to achieve your goals.
Future sessions (50 minutes) will seek to implement your shared plan using a range of evidence-based psychological techniques and strategies.
