Online Psychologists for Teens, Children & Adolescents
Compassionate and effective online therapy for young people and their families on Sydney’s North Shore.
Navigating the challenges of growing up in areas like North Sydney and Pymble can be difficult for both young people and their parents. Our online psychologists provide a safe and private space for children and adolescents to work through their concerns and build resilience. Telehealth therapy offers a convenient way for young people to get the support they need from a place where they feel most comfortable—at home.
What We Can Help With
Our experienced clinical psychologists are skilled at helping young people and their families with a range of common concerns, with the online format offering unique benefits.
Managing School Stress and Peer Pressure: Academic and social pressures are common in local high schools. Online therapy removes the anxiety of a formal, in-person appointment, making it easier for teens to open up about sensitive topics. Our psychologists can help young people develop effective coping strategies to navigate school stress, manage social expectations, and build confidence.
Addressing Anxiety and Social Anxiety: For teens struggling with social anxiety, the thought of an in-person appointment can be overwhelming. Online sessions offer a powerful first step in building a therapeutic relationship from the comfort of their home. It provides a safe space to practice new skills and build confidence before applying them in the outside world.
Navigating Family and Relationship Issues: When family schedules are packed with extracurriculars and commitments, finding time for a session can be difficult. Online therapy offers the flexibility to schedule sessions that work for your family, whether it’s during a lunch break or in the evening. We can help improve communication and navigate conflicts that arise at home or with friends.
Coping with Depression and Low Mood: When a young person is feeling withdrawn or lacking motivation, an in-person appointment can be a significant barrier to receiving support. The convenience of online sessions removes this hurdle, ensuring they can receive consistent, ongoing care. Our therapists can help young people cope with sadness, irritability, and a loss of interest in hobbies.
Addressing Technology and Screen-Time Issues: Concerns about cyberbullying, social media pressure, and screen-time are common for parents. Online therapy is a natural and comfortable medium for young people to discuss these issues, as technology is already a significant part of their lives. We can help families establish healthy boundaries and navigate the digital world.

How Our Online Sessions Work
We ensure the online therapy process is straightforward and supportive for both young people and their parents.
Initial Contact: A parent or guardian will book a brief intake call with us to discuss your child’s or teen’s needs.
Parental Involvement: Your psychologist will discuss the level of parental involvement that is most helpful, balancing your young person’s privacy with your need to support their well-being.
The Session: Therapy sessions are held via a secure video platform like Zoom. The focus is on building a strong therapeutic relationship and helping your child or teen develop new skills and strategies.
Communication: We will ensure there are clear lines of communication between the psychologist, the young person, and the parent, as appropriate, to ensure a collaborative treatment journey.
